My Little Pony Makeup Series - Scootaloo

So today's makeup is based off of the final member of the cutie mark crusaders, Scootaloo.

I really like the magenta with orange color combination, it worked a lot better than I had expected. Since it's the last pony of the cutie mark crusaders, i'm not entirely sure who the next look will be based on. I'll probably have a look around on some my little pony wiki for some ideas. All the colors from this look were from Sleek's Ultra Matte Palette.

A shot with the lids closed.

My Little Pony Makeup Series - Sweetie Belle

As I said yesterday, I've been hooked on my little pony friendship is magic lately and today I bring you my second look of this series inspired by Sweetie Belle.

Sweetie Belle is Rarity's little sister and is also a member of the cutie mark crusaders. Overall, I was happy with this look, it's wearable and not too outlandish for day time wear either. I admit I feel like I've been in a makeup slump for a while as I went through November with no practice. I confess whilst applying makeup for my Applebloom look I did yesterday I wasn't extremely pleased and struggled a bit.

You can always click on any of these images for a closer look. Tomorrow I shall be doing a look for the 3rd and final member of the cutie mark crusaders, Scootaloo. I'm not entirely sure who I'll base my next look on, any requests are always welcome.

My Little Pony Makeup Series - Applebloom

I've been watching the new episodes of my little pony friendship is magic lately. I should be more ashamed for indulging in something so childish but its nostalgic, colorful and is a vast improvement to the my little pony TV show I used to watch. Oh well, Jangsara did do a my little pony series a while back, it was very inspiring and far better than anything I could possibly come up with but I figured I'd go ahead and do it for fun anyway.

My first look is based off the character Applebloom, who is part of the Cutie Mark Crusaders and still waiting for her official mark. So, I created this yellow and red look to match with the character itself. I thought I'd wear a pink ribbon to match with the character too, but it turned out I wasn't girly enough to even own one.

As for now, I'm unsure how far I'll take this series, but I definitely plan on creating a look for the rest of the Cutie Mark Crusaders at least.

Sugarpill Burning Heart Palette Swatch Comparisons

A while ago I put up a few swatch comparisons for Sugarpill's Heart Breaker Palette, I thought I'd put up a few more for Sugarpill's Burning Heart Palette.

Buttercupcake and the yellow off of Sleek Makeups Ultra Mattes Palette seem like a decent dupe of each other and though Sugarpill's Buttercupcake is pricier, it's definitely worth it as the quality is significantly better and applies easier due to it's super pigmentation.
I was surprised to find that orange isn't that rare a color with makeup. MakeupGeek's Razzleberry is a close enough dupe of Flamepoint and can be bought for nearly half the price at the MakeupGeek store.
Red is a really rare color for eyeshadows, the only reds I owned were by Sugarpill, so I swatched up one of Illamasqua's medium pencil in Feisty as their medium pencils can be used anywhere on the face. It was much trickier to work with than a simple eyeshadow.
Out of all of my purple shadows, Sugarpill's Poison Plum is my favorite and I haven't quite found one that is similar to it at all. I swatched Sugarpill's other purples so people could compare the shades with each other.

Overall, the colors from this palette are pretty rare, are super pigmented and are long lasting. The only 'problem' stems from the fact that they are rare colors for a reason and aren't 'everyday casual' kind of colors. You can buy this palette at the Sugarpill store.

For those who are interested, here are a few looks where I used colors from this palette:

Buttercupcake, Flamepoint & Love+
Judge Fire Look
Poison Plum
Alternative Catwoman Look
Buttercupcake & Flamepoint

Gosh Gasoline Comparison Swatches

So I recently swatched a few GOSH nail polishes. These were very cheap at the price of £5. I thought I'd put up a few swatches to compare some colors for any dupes and see just how much you save by purchasing from this brand.

As you can see the four shades are very different as each have different finishes and aren't really the same color for a perfect dupe.

GOSH - A bottle has 8ml of nail polish for £5 which is around £6.24 for 10ml.

Inglot - A bottle has 15ml for £8 which is around £5.3 for 10ml.

Illamasqua - A bottle has 15ml which sells for £13.50 which is around £9 for 10ml. Alternatively you can create your own nails set where you purchase 3 bottles for £30 dropping the price per 10ml down to £6.67.

Nails Inc - A bottle has 10 ml and sells for £11, making it the most expensive out of all 4 brands. However, the website has several pick and mix options and the cheapest one would require a purchase of 10 bottles and cost £6.5 for 10ml.
